I have been a terrible blogger recently

Apologies

So, I have pretty much been a non-existent blogger for the last couple of weeks...

This is me. Being Non-existent

But I promise I haven't given up, at this time of the year life is rather busy... Uni Assessments/Exams have been taking up a depressingly HUGE amount of time lately. In my minimal spare time I have been writing for TheDownlow so, until I am back in the game on the 2nd, you should check out the website and my posts!

Romantic Bohemian

As I have said before my style is extremely schizophrenic but I am trying to tame it. In order to do this I have decided that each week, I will do a post on one of the four styles/moods/aesthetics that I love and will be channeling this summer...

Mood Board #3: Romantic Bohemian

The summer months are a hippies paradise. Floaty, breezy pieces in sheer-lace-crochet fabrics are perfection on those sweltering mid-summer days. Hippie chic has long been a favourite of the festival folk that swarm the british countryside/American dessert/NZ coast and I love it.

Effortless and beautiful, this is as feminine as my aesthetic gets.

The Wild One

Three of my favourite words in fashion right now are print-colour-texture and this shoot from this weeks Net-a-Porter magazine, combines them all.

I am in love with the fearlessness that fashion has embraced this season. All the so called 'rules' have been broken, colours are clashing, prints are mixing and its OK to wear a shag fur vest to the beach.

Woop woop, fashion is fun again!

This is Eccentricity at its BEST.

Glitter in my Veins

It is that time of the year again, its Spring (kind of) and the whether is getting warmer (sort of). October is upon us, that strange insignificant month that bridges the gap between the rah rah of September and the awesomeness of November. I don't know about you but I tend to feel a little lost sartorially in October. If its cold in the morning its boiling by 2pm and if its sunny at 9am it'll be raining by the afternoon. October is also the month of stress.. UNI work is piling up and exams are looming, so to get myself out of this rut I have turned to sparkle.

Glitter is kind of having a moment right now and I'm loving it. Its the best thing when you need to inject a little fun and beauty into your wardrobe.
Wearing something with a bit (or allot)  of embellishment always makes me smile!

Here is some sparkle inspiration for you to drool over:

Dree Hemingway, Richard Burbridge.

Zanna Roberts Rassi, Italian Vogue

Lauren Hutton by Richard Avedon, Vogue.

Are you hooked yet?

Blue Jean Easy.

*Lack of posting due to astronomical amounts of essays to write. Last assignments DONE, Exams in ONE MONTH.

As I have said before my style is extremely schizophrenic but I am trying to tame it. In order to do this I have decided that each week, I will do a post on one of the four styles/moods/aesthetics that I love and will be channeling this summer...

Mood Board #2: BLUE JEAN EASY

Sometimes, during the hottest days of summer, my favourite denim cut-offs are the only things I want to wear.
The orginal blue jean girls, Farah Fawcett & Jane Birkin knew the power of denim: Effortless, sexy, edgy, 'cool' nothing beats it.

The denim things I will be living in this summer? Old as hell Levi washed out vest, equally as old Levi cut-offs and hopefully THIS
