Chateau briant

The little bit of France down the road, Chateau briant,
is full of wonders.

With our kitchen in the middle of being renovated (non existent) we have been out of an oven for quite some time. Because of this dinner has been a merry collection of soup/steamed vegetables/cous cous/pre cooked chicken and on one exciting venture, canned potatoes.

So, feeling like we needed a good dose of home style cooking, we went to France.

I am in love with this little cafe/bakery/gourmet patisserie. All the rustic furniture and tasty treats (Macaroons!). Plus it smells of freshly baked bread and the staff are all french!
If you are in need of some yummy homey meals, gourmet french cheeses and fresh baguettes I strongly suggest you try Chateau briant. (Of course in a Kiwi twist they also do a mean coffee)

Vauxhall Road, Devonport.
